Mend Ailment removes the condition, effectivly causing the damge that you recieve from Fragility. It just makes the Mesmer's job faster. Now, Remove Hex>Fragility Combo.

yes and no. If you have some decent att points in mend ailment, the heal bonus you get for every remaining condition far outway the fragility penalty. I can heal as much a 300hp when I time my mend ailment right. I should know this as a monk who faced fragility attacks many times. I will go as far to say that mend ailment is the 2nd only to RoF as most effective monk spells. Only 5 energy with fast cast and recharge time and ~50 points for every remaining condition allows you to look forward when the enemies stack conditions on you.

a necro specializes in defeating monks, there are tons of skills in blood and curses to combat the healing done by mend ailment. though i dont think this is one of the best nec combos, it is certainly pretty good if u like to just straight interrupt and cause roundabout, unexpected dmg...

I know a build that can basically kill any enemy.

16 IIllusion, 11 domination, and 9 Fast Casting is all you need(this is a Mesmer/Necromancer)

Cast Fragility on the enemy, then use Phantom Pain. Now cast Shatter Selusions to give them a deep wound for about 20 seconds. Now cast Arcane Echo, then cast Virulence. With 0 Death Magic, it should end in 3 seconds. Wait out the 3 seconds, ressurect a teammate if needed, then cast Virulence again on the same enemy. As soon as you cast it cast Wastrel's Worry than Energy Burn. By now you've done about 450 damage, and since the Deep Wound should still be up, they should be dead(saying the enemy's max hp was about 500). It works on all professions, though Healing may be a hard thing to pass by, but combined with the damage of other teammates I doubt it will matter. Everythng I mentioned can be performed in less than 10 seconds. This build works well with a Spirit Spammer using Quickening Zephyr.
